Madagascan tree boa
A new Madagascan tree boa can now be seen on display at the Desert Dome Sunroom. The boa was born on May 31, 2009. It is red in color but that will change throughout it's first year. The parents of the tree boa are on display in Kingdoms of the Night. Madagascan tree boas use trees mostly for hunting purposes. They are nocturnal so in order to hunt they use their heat sensitive pits around their mouths to find warm blooded animals.
